someone in the opensource community (great scott it's green) uses the listed tools and creates the software (you're blue) for the average (and beyond) computer user! Hardware is my gray area (gulp!)

Here stack comes from stackpile (not the data structure), so the system software is piled over the kernel and the UI over the system software and so forth.
