Frequently Asked Questions
[1] Are you still associated with PITS?
(05 Jan 2012) Thanjavur
I am still with the PITS family. I have taken a sabbatical, but I am in touch with students and faculty in every other way. This is purely to work on a few projects of my interest.

[2] How can we meet you?
(05 Jan 2012) Thanjavur
Please use the "Meet me" page to book an appointment on my calendar, follow-up by phone and then meet me. If you are considering a business proposal we can meet at a hotel or at my office. This can be decided over e-mail. I have very little time allotted for meetings, especially for information that cannot be communicated by e-mail.

[3] What is your startup "Sourcery.in"?
I created "Sourcery.in" to work on Cloud Application Migration Tools. It will be a cloud application development and migration RAD tool building unit. Initially, Sourcery.in shall be small, and shall operate almost on zero budget during Jan, Feb and Mar 2012.
Being a startup, we will achieve publicity only during Apr 2012 after which we can consider powering the team. At that time, this shall be more of a referral exercise depending on any funding or financing options that are available.

[4] Can we help you at Sourcery.in?
(05-Jan-2012)
This is too early to ask that question, as everything is in its early stage of inception. It would be difficult to raise capital and dispense salaries within the first quarter. However, contributors can take a look at what we do. Send me an e-mail by clicking this 'want to take a look at Sourcery.in' and I shall give you access to our work - I beieve in 'Open' organization and transparent working.

[5] Do you consult on Embedded Software?
(05-Jan-2012)
I do take consulting assignments in special cases. I presently spend most of my time on building my startup "Sourcery.in". I can only provide advisory input, and not actively participate in any project.

[6] Can you put us in touch with Embedded Linux Developers?
(05-Jan-2012)
I do have friends and ex-colleagues who may be interested if you have an interesting consulting proposition. I can connect you with them through my "Linkedin/Betasam" contact.

[7] When will you respond to my message?
(05-Jan-2012)
SMS (Short Messaging Service) - Text messages do not reach the recipient always in realtime. Using the 'delivery' notification may help ascertain if the message has been sent to the device. This too is unreliable.
If you have sent me an e-mail and I have not responded within 24 hours, please reply to the same message thereby bringing the thread to my attention. If that does not work, please send me another mail or use my telephony contact or instant-messenger contact to call me using voice. I am "betasam" on Skype.

[8] Can we hire you now?
(05-Jan-2012)
The short answer is "no".
I will be providing services exclusively through "Sourcery.in" alone. Hence my services are unavailable individually as a consultant or as an employee at this moment.

[9] Will you give talks on Open Source, Free Software, Embedded Linux?
(05-Jan-2012)
The short answer is "yes" so long as time and location permit.
I am quite interested in spreading the news on "Free(dom) Software" (GNU), the 'Open Source' movement (distinct as it is), Embedded Linux as it is today as an evangelist.
Please get in touch with me. If time and location permit, I shall definitely oblige and help spread the message.
